  31.    Forte is working on a document/programming examples on how to use the
  32.    patches and MIDI with the GUS.  When they are ready we'll release them.
  33.    The GUS SDK doesn't go into much detail about patches (PATCH.H) which is
  34.    why we are working on a more comprehensive document.

  40. I think it is a very good move from Forte/Gravis.  Could you (John
  41. Smith) tell me when the more comprehensive document will come out?

  43. By the way, after hacking around a little bit more, now I understand how
  44. to interpret "envelope_rate", "envelope_offset", and "modes" fields in
  45. PATCH.H and now my program is able to produce the sound from a patch
  46. file through my GUS card.  If anybody is interested in using my code,
  47. I'm willing to share it.  My code is not yet complete, and I'm still
  48. adding more features to it.
